Xiaohui Yu is the most excellent lawyer that I have seen in US. When she worked with my application of H1b, she did comprehensively investigation with my background and the requirement of the case, and she also help me to prepare the documents with her proficient skills and strong responsibility. Therefore, my H1b visa was approved within a short period of time. I really appreciate for her kindly help.

I would like to highly recommend the Law Offices of Yu and Associates. After doing lots of online research and recommendations from my close friends all suggested Mrs. Xiaohui (Sharon) Yu and her firm. Mrs. Xiaohui Yu and her firm are truly amazing in terms of immigration law acumen, competence and above all their commitment. My EB1A I-140 petition prepared by their firm was approved in 7 days. I was quite happy with their service and I had wonderful experience working with them. The whole team is one amazing and do wonderful work and I find them very very punctual. Sharon is very professional and she replied my email message within 24h to 48h after I send my queries to her about my EB1A and I485 application. Moreover, whenever I needed her help and advice about my EB1A and I485 applications, she picked up my phone calls even after hours and in weekend as well. Every draft of the petition letter or recommendation letters has to be approved by Sharon before I had to send out to my peers and mentors. Her team is highly experienced in every aspect of EB1A field. They are also very much updated on every information from the USCIS and keep all their clients well informed.
They also offered me free assessment of my case before I decided to retain them. I found her teams are very methodic and true professionals, from my experience the best there are out there. They are also kind, helpful and very willing to assist. I do not have much experience working with any kind of lawyers and I am very much impressed with my experience I have working with Mrs. Xiaohui Yu.
I always use to get all the update through website. They are quite organized and answer all and every question free of charge. I was so happy and satisfied with them that I retained them to file my I485 application with her as well.
I highly recommend them for all those who want to go for permanent residency through an EB1A, EB1B or EB2 NIW.

Thanks
Bhavesh

Attorney Xiaohui Yu helped me petition for my US immigration. During this process, I was very impressed by her dedication, professionalism, passion, hard-working and high-quality services. Whenever I had any questions or problems, attorney Yu was always able to address them promptly and appropriately thanks to her extensive experiences and expertise in the field. My Eb1a outstanding scholar’s petition letter submitted to the USCIS was so well written by attorney Yu. It is an extremely powerful document as it contains very clear logic, effective statements, important highlights on my strengths and contributions, and is carefully and well written, and very convincing! My EB1a petition was approved in only 4 months after submission to the USCIS. I also recommended attorney Yu to my friend who made a petition for immigration through the NIW category. Through attorney Yu’s excellent legal services, my friend’s I-140 petition for NIW was surprisingly granted in just one month after its petition submission! Both of us are so grateful to attorney Yu. Her great efforts, professionalism and rich experiences played indispensable roles in our successes for our immigration applications.

Our firm has never dropped this client’s EB1A case. The fact is that after we had spent tremendous time and efforts on her case, this client suddenly decided to discontinue the service with us. After the client retained us in November 2014, we sent her the whole package of the preparation materials to start the case preparation. We also set up phone calls with her to go through all the details comprehensively and thoroughly to make sure that she understood how to provide the supporting information for the case and what she needed to do to cooperate with us. Between November 2014 and March 2015, whenever she called or emailed me for her questions, we always responded to her promptly to resolve the issues that she raised. Furthermore, we edited the drafts of several important documents with a great deal of valuable revisions for her case, and even periodically sent emails to her to check her progress and also urged her to take timely actions in providing additional supporting information we requested for the case. But this client kept silence on the case preparation most of time despite our repeated requests and reminders. After she was inactive for a few months on the preparation, all the sudden she called us and wanted her case to be submitted immediately. However, at that time, we still had not received some critical supporting materials from her that we requested a long time earlier. Also, due to my workload at that time and upcoming international business travel, we advised her to reasonably give us (and herself) a couple of weeks to wrap up things, she could send us the supporting documents, and then we could review and focus on working on her case when I return from my travel. But she called me the next day that she couldn’t wait and chose to discontinue the service with us.

We only received the first installment of the legal fee. Not only has the retainer agreement clearly stated that it is not refundable, but also we are more than deserved to keep the first installment. We have been diligent and worked very hard on her case and have done more than what are prescribed in the retainer agreement for the first installment. The client just needs to be reasonable. The legal services that we provided were far beyond the scope of the first installment. Before the submission, we actually needed to charge the client the second installment according to the retainer; Since she dropped us, we did not charge the second installment at all.

This client complained that we have other clients’ names and positions on the samples/files that we sent to her. This is factually false. We just double-checked the email communications with this client including the attachments, and confirmed that all the documents and materials we sent to her were exactly those we prepared only for her and contained absolutely NO confidential information (name, title, etc.) for/about any other clients. It is mystery as to why this client makes this false claim. Perhaps she was confused between us and another law firm that made such things. Please note that we sent the materials to this client not by paper mails, but by emails. The emails and attachments are traceable by either side and also verifiable by a third-party to pinpoint whose statement is correct.

I hired Miss Yu in 2014, to petition for my EB1A because my H1B will expire in May 2015. In March 2015, she dropped my case because she is over booked, and couldn't file my petition in time. She left my case cold turkey, without any temporary solutions like a B2 extension, which means she is not professional or knowledgable. So far, she still hasn't refund my legal fee even she didn't file anything for me.

Not only she didn't file anything for me, the files she said she prepared for me have other clients names and positions on it. She obviously gave files that she prepared for other clients to me, which is indeed not professional at all.

If you are looking for immigration attorney, you need to find someone who will focus on your case and work with you. Sharon Yu is nothing better than an online blog who only gives you some general directions. You need to find someone who will study your case and get the best out of your cv!
