I highly recommend Kimberly Arn as an attorney for anyone going through separation and divorce. I trusted and relied on both her legal expertise and her personal experience when I decided to get out of my abusive marriage She is a fair, tough negotiator who also listens and respects your wishes on issues that aren't a detriment to your well being or your case. She was also tough with me when I needed her to be and kept me focused on doing what was best for me and my teenage son.

I could have used an attorney through a legal service benefit I have at work, but chose to use Kimberly instead because my counselor recommended her as someone who could guide me through the process of ending an abusive marriage. In addition, other people I know who have used legal service attorneys often have trouble getting them to return their phone calls or respond to emails. That was never a problem with Kimberly. Ms. Arn was the first attorney I spoke with about my situation. My husband filed for divorce and I needed someone to review the paperwork and provide me professional advice. She was punctual with the telephone consultation but she sounded annoyed by my story. I was trying to paint her a picture of my situation and she basically wanted to know what I wanted. I asked for her fee and she charges $325 and her assistant is $300...the only difference is that she is the boss.

Why would I want someone who doesn’t want to listen to my story to represent me? If I happen to catch her on a bad day...how often does she have bad day? Does she usually take it out on potential clients?

I went through one of the most difficult phases of my life between 2014 and 2015, when I had to petition for divorce, custody of my children and use of possession of the marital home. The best decision I made and one which made the entire process, which could have been much more complicated and maybe even unfavorable to me, far easier than I had anticipated, was that I called Kimberly Arn. Kimberly was considerate, extremely knowledgeable about family law, and meticulous in her preparation for court dates. Her paralegals were highly competent and there was never an e-mail or phone call that went unanswered.

At the very beginning, Kimberly clearly laid out the roadmap for the next few months, and informed me of my rights and options. She invested a considerable amount of time and effort in diligently working with me on the long form expense statement and related financials, which is why she was always well prepared at the court appearances. She never made a proposition sound more favorable than it actually was, and when the odds were not in my favor, she would always present it as such. In the court proceedings that followed, she was thorough in presenting arguments and evidence, and through her professionalism, made sure that every single judgement went in my favor.

I first consulted Mrs. Arn in May 2016. We had a brief phone conversation where she explained my options and detailed likely scenario for divorce proceedings. It was not until June that I hired Mrs. Arn to represent me in the divorce process.

Prior to my court date, Mrs. Arn provided a brief explanation of how the proceedings will go and ensured that all of my questions were answered.

Mrs. Arn was always quite responsive and I never had to wait more than a few days to have necessary documents or have answers to questions.
