They are full of nonsense.

First off: Thank you for all you and your firm have done for my family and I. We are in a more improved situation due to your support. Thank you. We appreciate your humanity.

For those reading: I went to this firm on a recommendation and a warning that it would cost more than your average lawyer but it would be worth it and I could not be happier! I was divorcing my husband and in the beginning it seemed like an amicable divorce, he as mostly agreeable and we were able to file for an uncontested divorce and with the help of Heather and her team I have a very solid marital separation agreement that is very well written and covers things I did not think of at all. I have seen a few of my friend's separation agreements made up by other lawyer teams, and I will attest that the one written by this team was more extensive than any others I have seen.

Unfortunately I had trusted that my ex-spouse and I were able to keep in the agreement and I went "softer" than I though I needed to. Unfortunately I had to file a contempt of agreement and this law team again rose up to ensure I felt supported and not out of line in what I was seeing. He wasn't paying all the support he agreed to, and he was talking in ways with my children that they shouldn't be in a divorce. Her team filed everything and we found ourselves in mediation with their law team. It was good, I wanted time with my kids, he wanted money, we got through it, the advice the McCabe Russell team had for me was paramount and made me comfortable and confident. I am so much more educated and confident in my matters, and they also ensured that after mediation that all the paperwork was accurate and inline with my wishes. It was smooth and easy. I highly recommend this firm. I worked directly with Hillary and Heather and they were just fantastic, understanding, compassionate and just treated me humanely. Thank you. I will continue to utilize their services should I require them again.

Divorce is one of the most traumatic experiences in life. For me the silver lining of the whole situation was having McCabe Russell, PA in my corner. Heather and Emily were so professional, knowledgeable, kind, patient and understanding and in the same time tough in protecting me and my interests. They were fighting for me and helping me go on, when I was ready to give up. McCabe Russell, PA was an excellent choice for me! Thank you!

I came to Heather with an incredibly difficult family law case that seemed destined for litigation. Heather, Samantha and the entire Russell McCabe team worked tirelessly for my family to achieve the outcome that we deserved. Heather was always available whether it was late-night or weekends. My case was wrought with alienation and heartbreaking accusations against myself and my family. It was, without a doubt, the hardest thing I have ever been through and Heather was always right there to ease my doubt and help me see the big picture. She settled my case, a case that even a retired judge didn't think could settle, and she did so in my favor. I will be forever grateful and in awe of Heather and her team. Best. Decision. Ever.

Will not give you pricing on a non fault divorce with no kids until you pay a $300 consultation fee I was just interested in pricing because he's something I can do myself but I don't have the time don't talk to this receptionist if you not willing to pay $300 to schedule a consultation she will gladly hang up the phone on you... Glad other lawyer called me back and gave me price without paying them $300

I called McCabe Russell regarding a family law matter in Anne Arundel County. I was able to speak with a paralegal named Elaine Sullivan. She was extremely knowledgeable and professional and gave me the information I needed. Based on that interaction, and assuming the attorneys are as good as the paralegals, I would certainly recommend this firm. Thank you!!!!

INITIAL MEETING:
My first consultation was with Heather McCabe. I immediately saw that she is a “no nonsense” person. She asked very detailed questions and took a lot of notes. As I was explaining everything, Heather never cut me off, and was patient. Even though I was not technically her client yet because I had not paid a retainer at that point, she made phone calls to colleagues and looked up my case for research. Let me be clear, she did not have to do this, but she did. Heather was upfront about cost as well. By the end of the meeting, she had instilled confidence in me and she was certain that it would end in my favor. She let me know that it would be a long and tough road, but that she would be there to guide me every step of the way. I felt so empowered after this meeting.

CASE WORK/ OUTCOME:
Heather assigned me an associate attorney, Hilary Tebeleff. Hilary was extremely professional, smart, and ready to fight for me. Heather maintained overseeing the overall process, but Hilary worked more closely with me. Communication was always swift and clear. Even when I thought my questions were stupid, both Hilary and Heather would respond quickly. This was a very daunting and overwhelming process, but they were very good about holding my hand through it all, and simplifying everything so that I could understand. There was never a time that my calls were not answered or my emails were not responded to.

The paralegal team was very impressive. They handled a huge amount of work that I would thought impossible to prepare and keep track of. Not only did they complete the work, but it was so organized that it put the opposing counsel’s organization of the same information to shame.
For my important court dates, both Hilary and Heather were present. They were on time, professional, and very prepared. I cannot tell you how strong I felt showing up with such a strong team. During negotiations with opposing counsel, they refused to accept anything less than what I deserved. Ultimately, the case worked out in my favor in a very big way.

FINANCES:
It is important to keep in mind that although at times it will feel like it will never be over, your situation is temporary and is worth it. Heather was very clear and transparent about how my money would be handled, how much each part of their work would be charged, and that I would know exactly where my balance is at all times. Patricia “Paty” Bitar handled sending me my statements. She sent me these statements every other week regularly. She also answered any questions that I had about my statements quickly and clearly. I was never unsure of any charges or what my balance was.

Once I retained the firm, I was initially able to keep up with my balance, but as the case work grew more intense, my balance became very difficult to keep up with. I was very scared, but Heather was reassuring and worked with me about setting up payment plans. I was never hassled or pressured about making payments. There was never a threat about dropping my case. Also, there were never any surprise charges or misleading information when it came to payments. They are transparent, fair, and very reasonable when it comes to your financial burdens.

CONCLUSION:
I will end by saying that there are no real “winners” in child custody cases. However, if your rights are challenged, you need a powerful team ready to provide all of their knowledge and expertise for you, and any children that may be involved. Every single person working for the McCabe Russell team, truly cares about you and your case. You are a priority to them. Any children involved are a priority to them. Although I am not in a position to guarantee your outcome, I trust that McCabe Russell is the team you need. Whoever you are, whether you retain this firm or not, I wish you the best. It gets better.

Contemplating or facing the circumstances of going through family court to do what you believe is best for your child(ren) is one of the hardest decisions that a person may face in life. The concept of having to fight anyone, let alone the other parent, for the opportunity to establish, maintain and/or protect the relationship with you and your child(ren) is a very difficult decision to make. Additionally, being an active participant in your child’s life is the life blood to being a parent and building those life long memories with your child(ren). As such, and while I believe that an amicable solution should ALWAYS be sought first, sometimes the only alternative you are left with is family court.

To that point, I was lead to the offices of McCabeRussell (also referred to as my “Dream Team”) and what a godsend they were and continue to be to me and my family. If I had to sum up my feelings, I would have to say that Heather McCabe, Emily Russell, Anna Sholl and the entire McCabeRussell team are absolutely, hands down AMAZING! And, unfortunately, that still doesn’t fully describe or quantify how unbelievable and well suited of a legal team they are to anyone facing a family court matter.

Before contacting McCabeRussell, I was a frustrated single father facing a system that I believed was stacked against me. As a man and an African American father, I have heard the horror stories of how the family court system is rigged against men and the hell that fathers sometimes have to endure to be involved in their children’s lives when the other party doesn’t share the same sentiments regarding parental involvement. Well, my story started the same way until I pick up the phone and spoke to Heather. I embarked on this journey facing multiple and, at times, ridiculous allegations about my fitness as a parent and access to my son of every other weekend and NO overnights. After speaking with Heather on the first phone call/initial consultation to the standing with Emily and Anna at final verdict being rendered some 14 months later, they were ALWAYS there at every turn, phone call, email, etc. While it was my hope that I would have been able to settle the matter out of court, Heather and Emily prepared me for the possibility of the inevitable – a trial. I hated this option but, realized it was necessary in my case. They helped me (emotionally and legally) navigate several phases of the legal process --- the initial phases of very limited access, fending off protective order attempts meant to further curtail my parental access and abilities, acquired me a three (3) hour temporary hearing to address my lack of access and finally, a trial where they were able to prove my fitness as a father and helped me attain shared physical and joint legal custody.

What I just provided was a snapshot of my own circumstances but, hopefully enough for you to glean why I say this office is my “Dream Team”. Heather, Emily and Anna are tenacious trial attorneys, well versed in all aspects of domestic and family law, compassionate, child focused, attentive, over prepared, organized, responsive and very professional. I was a novice entering this but have since learned that all lawyers are not made alike. Now, while I didn’t get everything I wanted from the court, I can take solace in knowing that McCabeRussell advocated hard as ever to get me a significant amount of time, decision making ability and ultimately, the peace of mind to know that I have a team to fall back on when or if I am ever faced with similar circumstances in the future. In short, I would ONLY recommend McCabeRussell as the law firm to choose if you are faced with a domestic or family law matter.

My experience with Heather McCabe was stellar. Her expertise in family law is unparalleled and her counsel and guidance was the key for victory in my child custody dispute. She was the third lawyer I consulted and it was apparent that she was set apart / elevated above the others. It was because of her expertise and zealous commitment to my case that I was awarded the decision making power for my precious child.

I found McCabe Russell using regular old google. I checked out their website and decided to give them a call. I left a message not expecting anyone to call back like the 10 firms before… but Heather McCabe called me back directly within an hour. I explained the reason for my search (divorce & custody) and she patiently answered all of my questions. I came in for a formal consultation to further discuss my legal needs. After that meeting, I was thoroughly impressed with Heather’s calm demeanor. She listened as I described my situation in rose-colored, heart-broken glasses. She had an uncanny ability to decrypt what I said to her and understand what I was up against before I could even see what that could be. She saw through the years of denial, hurt and pretending everything was OK. I naively believed that my husband wouldn’t walk all over me in the divorce like he did in our marriage. She protected my children and I from threats I couldn’t even dream may be coming.

Heather answered my questions over and over again with the same amount of patience and respect as the first time I had asked. She went through everything with me until I felt confident with the action I wanted to take. She is dedicated to her clients and works incredibly hard to deliver results that her clients will be happy with. She is kind and patient, but is a force to be reckoned with when need be.

Every time I see Heather, she asks by name how my family is doing, how my new job is and how I am doing. She remembers the details and asks because she genuinely cares to hear the response.

I am very grateful for that return phone call nearly two years ago. I will never forget Heather’s endurance to fight through my ex’s constant stone walling, multiple lawyers he circled through and absolutely asinine claims/requests.

I’ve recommended her personally to a few friends and am happy to recommend her here publically to you.

I was really weary of the divorce process, let alone the potential outcome, but I felt like Heather McCabe held my hand from start to finish. Her negotiation skills not only protected everything I needed but lit the path for my ex and I to become successful co-parents. I feel really lucky to have been referred to her, and have recommended her to everyone I've met in a situation like mine.
