I had a similar experience as Erin below. Cynthia had a terse, impatient manner over the phone. She interrupted me several times with an incorrect characterization about my situation before I had finished my sentence. She seemed irritated by the fact that I was contacting several attorneys to explore my options. By the end of the call she said I could come in for a consultation and hung up before I could even say goodbye. I can only assume Cynthia has so much business, a few cordial minutes on the phone gathering information in a respectful manner is not worth her time.

Apparently, she expected me to make my case to her, like I was the attorney, in the first three minutes of our call, which felt like a hostile interrogation, and she was extremely condescending, even stretching out every syllable like I was mentally challenged when I asked her to repeat something she said. I would definitely NOT recommend calling her if you are at the exploring-your-options stage or attempting to proactively protect yourself against an abusive employer. Only call when you are CERTAIN you have a rock-solid case. Perhaps she treats people with respect when she knows she'll get a full case out of them. She can't be bothered otherwise. The only thing I'll say for her is that--after she had properly humiliated me--she answered a few questions that I still had the self-confidence to ask.

I dont think that anyone really WANTS to have to hire legal help; I know I didnt. However, if you find yourself in the place where that is your only next option, you want Cynthia to be on your side. She is good at what she does, yet she is kind, empathetic, and fair. She has fought for me in my situation with much higher standards than I could have anticipated. In my own line of work, I sometimes get the super last minute, rushed request for help. I hate to do that to others, but #lifehappens :) Well, I had one of those experiences earlier this year where I had a last minute, rushed request for legal assistance where I needed Cynthia to review a employment-related document that I just wasn't 100% sure I should be reviewing on my own. She listened to my story and the history of the situation, calmly and intelligently replied to my questions, and walked me through the details of the document and what the impact would be. While I have little personal experience with employment law (who does unless you are specifically an employment lawyer like Ms. Wellbrock?!), it was incredibly helpful to work with Cynthia, however brief. If I ever have another employment law related topic or issue come up in the future, I'll definitely be going back here.

I didn't like Cynthia's condescending attitude when we spoke last night. She kept interrupting me while I was trying to say something important which was very rude. Someone clearly violated some legal rules but she kept saying that it doesn't matter since nothing bad happened to me because of that. That's not the point and it was surprising to me to say the least that an attorney would say something like that. Anyway, I understand that her time is precious but so is mine and I found someone who made me feel like I mattered. I do not recommend her to anyone because it was one of the worst customer service experience ever.

I didn't feel like I was being treated like a human-being; and had to end the call.
