I didn't know what my options were in either case regarding medical bill recuperation, etc.
I contacted Ed through his website, and the next business day Ed reached out and we had an excellent conversation.
Ed talked with me for 30 minutes about both cases. In the end, Ed didn't feel representation was needed, and didn't take the cases. I was in full agreement, but the advice and council he provided me, without charge was incredibly helpful.
It is extremely rare, in this day and age, to find a professional who is willing not only to take 30 minutes to explain your options, but offer to help in the future if more questions arise, as a service.
Ed is very friendly, knowledgeable, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Ed.

Since Attorney Smith doesn't practice in the area of law that my case falls under, he referred me to two other attorneys who also have very high ratings. He also indicated that I could relay to these attorneys that he referred me, and that he recommended them. I will definitely contact Attorney Smith in the future if I have a potential case in any area of law that he practices.
I chose Mr. Smith as my lawyer after interviewing several candidates because he was the most responsive, the most credible and the most experienced with handling injury claims of my type.
As he explained in my initial meeting with him in his office, at one point in his legal career Mr. Smith assisted insurance companies in defending themselves against claims from injured parties; more recently, he has been quite involved in helping injured parties pursue claims for compensation against insurance companies. As a result, Mr. Smith has extensive experience on "both sides of the legal fence" which gives invaluable insights into the legal tactics/maneuvers that one can expect from insurance companies as well as a good feel for the potential for success (or failure) of a particular claim based on the circumstances surrounding the scope and nature of the injury incurred.
Throughout the process, Mr. Smith was always available and instantly responsive to any and all questions I presented to him, regardless of whether they were delivered in person, on the telephone or via e-mail. Furthermore, his presentations of facts pertaining to my claim's probability of success, in conjunction with his detailed sage advice on matters that were important but baffling legalese to me, gave me a sense of comfort and confidence. This sense of well-being was only reinforced by his frequent updates on his communications with the insurance company as my claim moved forward.
As a result of his sound legal shepherding of my claim, my insurance providers were fully reimbursed, and I received fair and just compensation for my injury. For any other person seeking to redress a personal injury case, I couldn't recommend anyone higher for your consideration than Mr. Edward Smith, Esquire.
I am and my mother is forever grateful for Edward. He is an honest, hard working ,experienced professional for whom no case is too small . I highly recommend Edward Smith to anyone.
It took me over 4 months just to walk again and Ed made sure my doctors appointments went smoothly and that I was constantly updated on every step of the case and he explained in detail all the legal jargon and that I approved any future steps.
After recovery, Ed made sure that the insurance companies had all the information they needed for a quick settlement, and worked diligently for fair and speedy compensation. He was unwilling to compromise with the insurance companies and kept me updated the entire time. He even explained different policies and terminology to me in a manner that was easy to understand so that I would be able to make an informed decision. He also provided potential outcomes down the road for each of my options. I've felt very well informed about everything and I greatly appreciate the work Ed did on my behalf.
It doesn't hurt that he's a very friendly, relaxed and straightforward guy so I never felt uncomfortable or misguided.
Hopefully I don't need to, but I would definitely use him again in the future.
I actually don't know how we would have negotiated it all without him.
Two things that happened that mean a great deal to me are:
1 I am deaf. Professionals routinely talk around and over me and tell me things like "Ill tell you later" which they do not. Ed always did whatever was necessary to make sure I was in the loop and knew where we were in process and what to expect and what needed to be done. Now I am the oldest in my family so as the current Matriarch it was imperative that I know what was going on. Thank you, Ed.
2 The situation had been an accident without malice and carelessness and Ed was wonderful about helping both us and the driver get whatever full circle closure was possible and peace. I don't think this is something the driver or we will get over but at least there was a bridge offered of good will and understanding in an impossible situation and i deeply appreciate there was no sensationalizing or preying on people who were involved in the unfortunate chain of events.
Even so there were MANY things to be taken care of that I had no idea what to do and Ed patiently guided us through, keeping all family members in the loop til all was laid to rest. Very helpful in a very difficult sad time.
Ed is a master at preparation. Our case involved negotiations with several insurance companies. Ed knew what would be required and arranged for the necessary testing, evaluations and expert testimony. And he carefully documented each communication with (and lack of response) from the insurance companies, building a case.
When it came time for the actual negotiations, every time an insurance company raised an issue or wanted an evaluation, the response was, "It's in the file. Look at page . . ." It became clear that the insurance companies had no where to go. There were multiple evaluations confirming the diagnosis and the cause. And if some of them continued their documented delays, they would run afoul of Colorado Bad Faith law.
If you are looking for an attorney that will get the job done and be pleasant to work with, I highly recommend the Law Offices of Edward Smith.
