They take ur money and do nothing

If you want to fight a ticket in court, you'll need a different type of lawyer.
This service will only postpone your court dates repeatedly to keep you from amassing too many points at once and eventually plead guilty (which is fine when you're actually guilty). If you know you're innocent, call someone else.

**EDIT** After editing my review to four stars, Katz broke client/attorney privilege and left me to deal with another ticket that I had already paid them for on my own without a refund for either. I stand by my review.

Do not consider hiring these people or any lawyer. You will wind up paying double the amount of the ticket. Their plan is to post pone the ticket until your points expire, and then they act as if they did you a favor. They suck at returning your phone calls unless you're a potential client and then they don't stop sending you emails or calls. They suck at notifying you about your case either through phone calls or emails. Horrible horrible service, Please stay away from them.

This lawyer does not do what he advertises. To make a long story short, my license got suspended because they never showed up to court. When I got my speeding ticket I reached out to Katz lawyers over email. Not even 5 minutes passed when they called. I was wowed at first, but after they take your money they don’t do anything to help your situation! Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Find someone who will actually fight for you and who’ll get you results. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I feel robbed.

Do not waste your money or your time. All they will do is postpone until ultimately a judgement is handed down and you wind up paying twice as much between the Katz fees and cost of the ticket

Please don't even think to hire this law firm. They will not represent you in a responsible way and when you try to reach them on the phone or via email, GOOD LUCK. They will not respond to you. I have hired them to appeal a DMV suspension. They charged $450. But appeal was denied because either they didn't pay for the transcript or didn't send the transcript. I'm trying to get a response from Kate McCulley for past 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back from her.

I received a speeding ticket and contacted Katz Lawyers. They were immediately available and the manner in which the speeding ticket would be handled was thoroughly explained to me. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and I know I am in good hands. Highly recommended.

I worked for this horrible organization. Seth Katz is a liar and a fraud, I would stay away from him. My paychecks bounced twice! He gets angry and looses his temper often in the office, and drinks while working. He is a horrible person, that doesn't care about anyone but himself. I would watch out for this office, because nothing good will ever come from it.

Terrible service, did not do what was paid for. Ticket was not extended, points are still in the license, admitted that they don't check emails, and the list goes on. Besides Seth Katz being rude on the phone he was also vague about my situation. Basically they will be happy to take your money but you will not have a desirable outcome. Same thing happened to someone else I know who used them.

They are crooked Lawer!! I had a speeding ticket and pay them to take care of it ... they missed my court date and NEVER told anything so my license got suspended and i dis not know about it !! When I receive a second notice from DMV i have to pay double $$ to get it back to normal!!!

Postponed my case for 4 years then at the end when my license was suspended he told me you have to pay for the ticket, so I hired and paid him for absolutely no reason and 0 results, crook and deceiver stay away from the name KATZ.

The majority of reviews for this law office lean on the unfavorable side, which is unfortunate. Thus, my four star rating will come as a surprise to most who visit the reviews here. I can only speak to my experience, which has seen some wins and some losses. First off, I have been using Katz law office since 2013 and the office has up to now handled (7) tickets for me, with one pending outcome. Three have been dismissed and I suffered (6) points and fines for three others. Yet, when I take into account the time I received the tickets that were held in violation until the actual time I was found guilty, as a NYC Black Car Driver, I concede a fair deal. My last ticket the office handled was for speeding and the office was able to gain a fine imposed with no points, which again I waver on the side of fair. There are always extenuating circumstances since there are many restrictions on driving which impede my ability to do my job effectively. And with extreme enforcement of traffic laws taking place throughout NYC, specifically Manhattan and Brooklyn, I caution the professional motorist to be vigilant in their everyday driving. Also, while you might find it hard, try operating your vehicle with some sense of consideration for other drivers. Try pulling over to any empty space, rather than right out in traffic or not forcing your way back into traffic as if you have the right of way. It's a harmful assumption to think a person HAS TO ALLOW you back into moving traffic. I hope that Katz can be of service to you if you choose their office for legal assistance.

Me n my cousin gave these liars 2 ticket one for speeding one for cell phone both wore found guilty they careless about anybody ticket they charge each one of $325 they didn’t show up in court they don’t wave any charges instead they got my license suspended if I would have know I should’ve read there review before. They should be out of business

This Law Firm took 1800.00 from my wife to handle some traffic violations stemming from roughly 10 years ago and did not do anything they promised.

Furthermore, when attempting to establish contact with them to inquire what the problem was and why they accepted the money but wasnt doing the work promised, they would simply pass you off to another partner saying they would see to it that your case was handled and call you back (which never happened).

Now after 1 year, cases still open, suspension after suspension due to them not showing up for hearings, etc., my wife is now having to deal with the courts herself.

I would advise everyone to steer clear of this Law Firm if you value your money. They will rip you off and leave you holding the bag that you started with!

Katz Law Office......., karma will come for you. When you do people wrong, you will never be successful no matter what.

I hope that 1800.00 that you took from a woman that is 100% disabled was worth it.

Horrible service and bad employees specially Patrick, they just want you to pay for nothing and give you promises and waste your time. My advice is to not go to this office.

after numerous attempts I finally got in touch with someone and got some answers, I like to have faith that an attorney would have integrity and would handle his clients in a more professional manner. I'm still waiting for the outcome and will keep updating my review.

Absolutely useless. Don't hire these clowns. I paid over $1K only to find nothing happened. And if you ever change your mind or want a refund, expect run arounds. They're so eager to take your money but it takes forever to return your money. A bunch of crooks. Their rhetoric is amazing on the phone but the results are utmost horrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Another note, the person on the phone always says they will represent you and then all of sudden, some other person who I never talked to before represents me instead. WE EXPECT RESULTS SO DO YOUR JOB SO WE DON'T HAVE TO WASTE MONEY.

They took $400 and never followed up on my case concerning a traffic ticket issued for passing a schoolbus. They failed to show up in court on hearing date and never kept me informed. I faced the judge myself and lost the case. I'm a service technician and my job requires driving. I've since lost my job because of this. This law firm is a ripoff, just as much as the crooked cop who give me that ticket for passing a schoolbus. I will never recommend this firm to anyone.

18 months fighting a cell phone ticket and just got convicted on 12/16 ticket issued 5/14

Horrible law firm. I call for an update on my case every month. I call today and the lawyer tells me that the judge found me guilty and my license is suspended since I didn't make a payment in time. He claimed to have sent me a letter a few weeks ago for an urgent payment I had to make to an address I gave her 2 years ago when this case started. meanwhile, they have my phone number in their records.

Not recommended. Big mistake.

It was pure waste of time and money. They lost interest as soon as gave them my credit card. They didn't have even courtesy to tell me results of hearing, I found out about it from DMV by mail. Avoid this office if you care about your time, money and results.

I hire Mr. Kats to represent me with a few tickets, I found him to be very professional and he did not over promise like the few other lawyers I interviewed.
He always called me back and kept me informed during the process.
I was happy with the results he got for me and he was price competitive.
I would definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends
