If you want a lawyer who just cares about money, he is your guy. I fired him because I found him to be unethical. There are much better lawyers in RI.

He would always return my calls promptly, file all the motions and paperwork promptly, advise of the next steps, give advice and his opinion on the matters from a legal point of view, and, most importantly, was very clear and precise UPFRONT about the cost and charges. Without a doubt, I am calling him again whenever I need legal representation.

There are times when we find ourselves in a situation and we ‘know a lawyer’ or have a friend of a friend who ‘knows a lawyer’. But there are also instances when we are in such a precarious position that we cannot afford to make a wrong decision. When the welfare of my children was on the line, that was when I took a step back and called every friend I trusted, talked to any lawyer who would listen. And this was not about a selfish tug-of-war, it’s was about which parent could do ‘the heavy lifting’ and make the best choices for their children. And the advice I received from so many people was that 1) I could and should raise my children and 2) It will take a small miracle to go against the grain of placing very, very young children with their father. Well, after several recommendations, (including a few from the courthouse staff), I made a life changing decision when I walked into Attorney Quigley’s office. Trust him! Listen to him! In the end, he always came through! And all those days, weekends, and evenings, he was always a phone call away. God Bless this guy!

I want to add my positive review to those of Jack's other clients. I had to endure a 3 year divorce battle initiated and intentionally prolonged by my husband, as well as a trial that lasted more than a year. Jack acted for me with the utmost professionalism and kindness throughout, and I was well represented. His work was exemplary in a very, very difficult case. Whether your divorce is amicable or, as in my case, not, I can recommend Jack unequivocally.

My experience with Attorney Jack Quigley, was outstanding. Mr. Quigley represented me in my divorce, which was quite contentious. His rigorous work demonstrated both his vast knowledge of the Family Court system and his sensitivity to the difficult situation my children and I were going through. Mr. Quigley frequently offered suggestions to our settlement that would not have occurred to me at the time, but proved beneficial to my children as they entered their college years and adulthood. Five years later,and I still call Jack when something comes up that I'm not sure is best for my family. I'm writing this review because I recently went to see Jack to help with some post-divorce work I needed. I was very surprised to see a 1 star review, and felt it unfair. Jack handled my divorce years ago, and he was the only lawyer of those I originally "shopped" that seemed to actually care about my children, and making a divorce equitable to all parties. I can only frame this review in my experience, but I will say to any Dad whose done the right thing throughout your breakup, this is the guy you want in your corner. Jack was calm, diplomatic, always represented what was important to me, and his approach was a "home run" in court. I'm quite literally about to hire Jack again, some 7 years later as my son is going to college now.

I had a horrible experience with this attorney. I am on disability and saved for two years to be able to afford a attorney. This guy knew my financial situation and took my money and did absolutely nothing for me. He charged me for every phone call and text message that I sent to him. ( He never told me when I hired him about all his extra charges ) He then quit on me because he wanted more money that I could not afford. I feel that he took advantage of me because of my financial situation.I ended up representing myself in my divorce and got screwed. It's a real shame because I really trusted this man.

I chose Jack Quigley, Esq. to represent me in divorce court because his approach to legal problems is similar to mine--calm and diplomatic. Divorce proceedings are stressful and I was more at ease when Jack informed me of my rights (e.g., financial, protective order) and assisted in enforcing them. My family and friends don't know his real name because I referred to him as "the gentle giant." However, make no mistake about it, Jack kicked it into gear in the courtroom and communicated assertively on my behalf when there was unwarranted questioning by the defendant's lawyer. I highly recommend him.
