They don't do what they promised. They said they would send me a cancellation notice after the first payment then they changed their saying. They don't do offer, they just try to take your money without any arrangements.

I wish i could give this place zero stars . This company is a joke , who takes money from people but never are open to the public . Predatory Law Firm. Work with hospitals to make sure that they can hurt you as much as possible no matter how much you try to follow and abide by all laws and requirements. I was struck by an illegal immigrant 2 years ago. KUMED and Humana fought for 2 years about how it should all be my bill to pay. Humana finally agrees to pay end of last year and I told them i will cover anything not paid. Instead of contacting me, Bessine took me to court without notice. I now am trying to pay off a garnishment instead of being able to set up a payment plan. Biggest Pieces of Shit in KC

My wife was served with a lawsuit from this firm over medical bills that we had forgotten to pay. The staff was civil and in some cases quite nice when we called. We also met Mr. Walterbach in person at court and he was quite civil as well. However, there were two issues, the first one being that we had already paid one of the bills and submitted proof of payment from the hospital. For whatever reason, the firm was not able to get a hold of their client to confirm or deny this. Second, we decided to pay the full amount (including the bill we had already paid, plus the interest on it) to avoid going to court, and were instructed by their office to bring a check or cash to them in person. We brought a personal check and we were told that the hearing would be dismissed. However, when we called to follow up the day before the hearing, we were told that the check had to be certified in order for them to dismiss the case, and we ended up having to go to court anyway. I would really encourage the firm to train their staff to give clearer instructions, so as not to mislead those of us who are actively trying to resolve our cases with them.

The phone answering system does not seem to work properly. It took several times of it running through the same message and hanging up and calling back before I decided to press 0. Then it gave me another message to leave a message. Still not sure anyone will get my message.

Aside from the strip club, these guys are my least favorite place to give money to. They are professional and let me make payments on my own time. Hands down would pay them my debt all the time.

By far the worst office and people ever. I work with attorneys and law firms on a daily basis, and NEVER would have imagined me being treated the way I was today. They've left me with $0 for 30 days until they lift a hold off of my account. The lady I spoke to, agreed that I should kill myself today. So that should tell you how these people are.

Staff is unhelpful and not easy to get a hold of. No way to contact an actual person. Not do the follow any proper service. Lastly, their "special consideration" process is a joke and a giant waste of time- since they don't bother to take your situation into consideration. Even when your a high risk unemployed pregnant woman..... Great consideration process...

This will be Flagged by the company as a "conflic of interest" because they will not own up to being horrible people. I missed one month and paid extra the next month to make up for it. This company does not take payments to make up for missing one. They are now garnishing my wages, BUT I DIDN'T EVEN RECEIVE A NOTICE beforehand!! I found out about this from my HR department at work. how embarrassing They also provided no information to my HR department about what credit company they were, causing me to call EVERY single loan payment I had set up trying to find out who was screwing me over. Called and spoke to 3 different people, all of which were incredibly disrespectful and not helpful at all. In fact, I asked for paperwork to be sent to me regarding said garnishment immediately for my records.. the letter came 2 weeks later. I live 16 mins from this location and for the life of me cannot understand why mailing a legal document would take so long to be mailed. They advised me NOT to come into the office to pick it up in the first place, HUGE RED FLAG! I cannot wait to be done with this company. My payments were $200 monthly, now they are garnishing about $550 a month from paychecks. These people are all POS, karma is coming for them I hope.

Terrible company. They do not care about you. They care about the next dollar lining their pocket. I have tried settling a debt with them, they told me we could settle over the phone and I would not need to go to court, but they lied. They refused to set up a fair payment plan and when I asked them to reconsider they refused to respond and just served me to garnish wages. Instead of allowing me to work with them, the now refuse and I tried to settle, the refuse to settle. Terrible company, the will lie cheat and make your life miserable to make an extra dollar. It’s funny they cannot dish it out though, every negative review they have flagged. If you’re considering using them, run! They don’t care about you.

Everything EVERY negative review on here says I have experienced in some form or fashion with this business. Conflict of interest or not, this firm has employees with the WORST people skills EVER and they seem to be very proud of it. I had to pay an additional $250 to hire a mediator to deal with them because talking with them in person was going to cause me to catch a case and a bad rap sheet. Pay your bill if you have one with them and may the Universe quickly put us out of our misery by getting rid of them.

In December of 2015 Lee's Summit Dermatology was billing me at my old address (according to records)....I thought it was strange they hadn't billed so I called to confirm the balance. I mailed them a check and paid it in full. Then January of 2016 I was served at work. (After the server showed up and bothered my family at their house)...I contacted Mr. Walterbach the same day to advise the error. He said I could email him a copy of the cleared check to Lee's Summit Dermatology and he would look it over. I emailed it (along with the bank statement showing it cleared the account) then called to confirm he received it. Conveniently every time I called to confirm that Mr. Walterbach was out of the office or in a meeting.
In February of 2016 I showed up to court with proof of the cleared check. The judge looked up at Mr. Walterbach and he proclaimed "the plaintiff must have paid my client without my knowledge". The judge rescheduled the hearing and told us to work something out. Again,every time I called he was busy. I am a single person from a small town I have small town values. My parents raised me not to sew people. So when I talked to Mr. Waltebachs secretary a few days before court I asked if they received the proof in fact,they did. His secretary advised there was no need for me to miss work for the hearing because it would be a default judgement... The judgement was 159 and some change. Did they try to get more out me? .. absolutely I refused. Why should I pay that when I never should've been in court to begin with. Did I mention this hurt my credit? I'm trying now to buy a vehicle and cannot get financed. That is not Me. Walterbachs problem. He refused to take payments and eventually garnished my wages.

Was making my payment on time got behind and was a week late they filed my garnishment the same day they recieved my payment and havent credited the payment they recieved to my account. They filed the garnishment and still cashed the check and ive been going back and forth trying to get my $100 back. They said they was going to send a revised payment to my employer and I still was over charged.

Worst law office ever. Despite making payments, even thought one payment was late but 3 days due to being mailed, they proceed to garnish me. Bank account and employer. We just went to court the middle of May. I've paid every month. My most recent payment was late a few days so that was a reason to issue a garnishment? I could understand if I didn't pay at all. But a late payment really? They have no regards for how a person is to live when they've requested the full amount. Animals. If your ever taken to court by them you better hope you can pay the amount in full right then and there. Because they DO NOT care about your well being.

Ive been sued 3 times in 2 weeks by this law firm. Do mind you i called them regarding one and was told if i paid it off before end of month it wouldnt be filed. Guess what?! Lied! I was served and its not the end of the month. There word is not true. Once all the drama is paid off i hope i never deal with these people again.
