From the first phone call with Louis, I felt completely supported and validated in my experience in the workplace. He listened to the background and provided a clear action plan, which I appreciated because I am a planner. He handled the case with a high level of professionalism and care, pushing to get things resolved in a timely manner - before I had my baby. I contacted a few lawyers before I chose to work with Louis, and part of the decision was based on his quick turnaround time in response, usually within a day. As for his rates - it was all within a reasonable amount for what the outcome was. Since he resolved everything so quickly, it wasn't a huge out of pocket expense for us in the long term though did require the upfront investment.

Mr. Leibowitz was referred to me by a dear friend who hired him in the past. I hired him after getting five moving violations. During pre-trial Mr. Leibowitz suggested a few different types of counseling, I completed or started all by my trail date. He also kept me informed on the judge who was assigned my case as well as the M.C. Police Officers involved. In the court house we decided to try a plea bargain. The offer was to plea guilty to one charge, have the others dropped and request a PBJ hearing in one year. The judge granted me the plea and I was sentenced to a $150. fee, 28 hours of weekend community service(the last Saturday was waved), and 3 years supervised probation with a PBJ hearing in one year.

I contacted Mr. Leibowitz after one year and hired him to schedule the PBJ hearing with the judge. The date was scheduled in a couple weeks a date was selected in which I was not able to attend for medical condition. He said he was going to try going to reschedule. He contacted me a said that the judge granted the PBJ regardless. Wow, what a relief! Now I have no points or a criminal conviction.

Through out this ordeal Mr. Leibowitz was very professional, extremely easy to communicate with, whether is was via phone, email or text. The judge and court house employees know him by name. I was able to watch him in a Murder 1 case in which the suspect was found Not Guilty in all charges!

For clients- this is “Napoleon” representing you, which means a genius. Napoleon was not known for being warm and fuzzy, so be patient with your attorney and slowly ask questions back.

For attorneys- Join his firm if you’re junior. Can also audiotape yourselves episodically to assess how you are interacting with clients.

A dear family friend recommended Louis Leibowitz when I got myself into a legal pickle. He took the time to learn about me, explain my charges, the worst case outcome, and probable outcome. I first met Louis when he was an attorney for a larger law firm. He represented our company in a business matter. In much the same manner that I believe you follow the banker you trust most to whichever bank employs him/her, I have kept our legal affairs with Louis as he has built his own successful practice. Louis continues to represent our business and I have employed him in personal legal matters. I have absolute trust in Louis' judgement and recommendations, although that doesn't stop me from debating a point with him now and then.

Louis Leibowitz has been my lawyer two times, and we won both times, even though we didn't have to go to court. The first time, three heavy smokers rented the condo below mine, and my condo became severely polluted with second-hand smoke. As the survivor of an extremely aggressive breast cancer, I was freaking out. My cat developed inflammatory lung disease from the exposure and started sneezing blood. Louis knew exactly what to do, and I followed every step he told me to take (measure the nicotine, get letters from doctors, get witnesses). Within 2 weeks of his sending a letter to the landlord of the smoking renters, they were gone. The second time, my homeowners association was refusing to pay for water damage to my ceiling after they delayed repairing the roof. Then when they repaired the roof, they damaged the skylight, and it started to leak. Louis wrote a demand letter and threatened to sue. They backed down and paid for everything. A third time, we didn't work together because Louis advised me to look into mediation (with a noisy rental neighbor with a loud stereo with a lot of bass) which he felt would be more effective. He could have taken my money but he didn't! And recently, when I wanted to do a will, he gave me an excellent referral.

I had a legal insurance, and frankly, Louis Leibowitz is so much more qualified and professional than the lawyers I tried working with through the legal insurance, I just got rid of the legal insurance and stuck with Louis.
