He’s a scammer. Took my money and ran away. Never worked on my case. Never picked up my calls (and I called him daily), never updates his clients.. only answered once and he was drunk. So unprofessional!!!!!
His secretary will tell you “leave your name and number, he’ll call you back”. Never does!
Now I’m more in debt, i got sued by another attorney thanks to him not getting my case worked on.
I’m reporting him to the bar association because an attorney is supposed to help your life be easier not scam you and leave you broke.

Santo is a dedicated and thorough attorney. He might not always get back to you as soon as you would like but he always does his best to respond in a timely matter. on July 28 2017 mr. santo v artusa charge me us
$2,500.00 like retainer for a simple case of child custody, today is oct. 15 i had make all ready 7 calls and he never return my call, after he get my money from my card, i never received a call from him, a letter or any type of communication. I told to his secretary that i will fallow a complain with the NJ Bureau of lawyers and even like that, no answer, i m a hispanish with not a fluent English wish may be a easy target. I have the statement from my account.

Did nothing. Lied to me. I had to go to another lawyer. Did not answer email, phone calls for 2 straight months. He moved the office and he did not tell anyone. He is the absolute worst lawyer and he should be ashamed.

One of the worst experiences of my life. He never showed up to court and when I met him finally I promised me the world. He never showed up the 2 times I went to court and never even told me. I only found out when I got to court and some other lawyer who knew nothing about my case was there and I'm still paying for it now. In March 2017, Mr. Artusa helped me get joint custody of my son, which in the past has been very difficult for me to get. I had to go back to court in August 2017 and Mr. Artusa helped me get residential custody which is very difficult for a father to get. I can't tell you how grateful I am that my son will be living with me. Mr. Artusa was accommodating, thorough and very understanding. I have had many attorneys through the years for this custody battle, but Mr. Artusa was the one that managed to get me joint custody and residential custody all within 5 months of each court date. I have had the absolute worst experience ever. If I could put zero stars I would. They have done nothing but drop the ball continuously. I served my ex with a friend of mine. Which I'm pretty sure was their job to do but it wasn't getting done and I kept getting excuses. I asked them to add a parenting time schedule to my file. They said to send the information I did and they didn't do it. I send it again and months pass I ask what the delay is they respond that because I added parenting time they had to refile and it delayed everything. Come to find out they never did it after I asked twice for them to do it, so really what was the delay then???? Fast forward it's now been 10 months I'm finally at court and they don't have all the paperwork in place and we might have to reschedule my court after 10 months of waiting. I'm sobbing at this point so I have to either reschedule to God only knows when or remove the request for child support and life insurance for my kids. Oh almost forgot they asked me to call my ex to run down to the courthouse NOW after the night before they said for him not to come. My ex took the day off but since they told him not to come he didn't. Now I'm getting divorced with none of the things I asked for. Smh. Run away from this place.
