They also happen to be the best divorce and family law attorneys- period! Galit stayed by my side in court with me for 8, yes 8 hours because the other side kept refusing to agree to anything we brought forward. I was living out of state when my case started. Steve Cohen was able to work with me via telephone and email until I got back, which I really appreciated. He is very kind and down to earth. Steve will take the time to explain all the confusing legal jargon and processes in layman's terms. I also liked the fact that he was very easy to get a hold of. He always made a point of reaching out in a respectable amount of time if he had to return my call or email. His fees are fair for the type of quality work he provides and I would hire him again. There is a talent in knowing when to come in guns blazing and when to come in softer for the benefit of the client. With Galit and her team I felt soooo protected from what was probably a more epic case dealing with opponents that played dirty lying games, were irrational and senseless. Galit was able to secure a more than expected support amount during the course of the year and a half proceedings. I was communicated with thoroughly, honestly and personably as well as offered legal counseling at every turn putting me in control. The Moskowitz firm is very well know at the Bergen Courthouse and the firm knows the courthouse so it felt like home court advantage that they easily navigated. During the worst time in my life, the best thing I did was secure Galit and her team by my side. Thank you soooo much Galit!!! My kids and I are better off for knowing you.

Good and quick

Horrible.... when asked for assistance and being told they couldn’t assist because of conflict of interest is understandable however when you can’t give a legitimate reason as to why or how this can happen to someone who’s looking for help? Doesn’t sit well with me and then to suggest a different attorneys office and 5 seconds later say “ oh we can’t help you?” Try being a little more informative and empathetic...... smh truly disappointing. Thank God we found a different attorney who was willing to assist and direct us to the right path.

Cannot imagine the result achieved, in the custody battle I just went through, without my Counsel Galit Moskowitz.
Fought for 3 years for the custody of my two sons. My former wife hired a lawyer Rosa Elfant-Rickett, lawyer with an image of a loudly barking French Bulldog. Rosa is very gifted in reality bending and reality perverting, she has no limits as to how far she is willing to go in pleasing her client at the expense of the children, reason and truth; prefers trial to settlement, while sacking her clients dry. Rosa's style and method were turning speck of dust into a nuclear mushroom cloud, making a lot of noise out of nothing, permanent harassment with threats and insults. Constant attack.
With Galit as her adversary Ms. Rickett quickly turned into a packet Chaw-Chaw, whose barking had barely any effect. In the beginning of the process my chances to get what I wanted (50/50 physical custody with no PPR) appeared not so good... Nonetheless, Ms. Rickett met her match and was well outmatched!
Despite notable institutional bias against fathers in NJ Family Courts , despite barrage of horrendous, false accusations made by my former wife against me, despite unreasonable, usurpatory demands, despite non relenting, bully Counsel that my former wife has retained, despite unfavorable custody reports from some custody "experts" hired, despite overly controlling and possessive grandparent (who behind the scenes) demanded control of the children for her daughter at any cost, despite the layoff I went through during divorce process - Galit skillfully turned the tide. Galit's virtuoso navigation through the process, timely, well weighted advise and masterful, almost savant ability to argue my case in court yielded the result - 50/50 physical custody with no PPR! Exactly, what I always believed will maximally benefit the children while minimizing the damage done by family destruction - the result our children themselves were asking for, their inalienable right: to be with, to love and to be loved by both parents.

Never thought that on the day I was pronounced "Divorced" in court I would be hugging my lawyer and shouting "Mazal Tov", but I did!

My case was a complicated one. Married for 17 years, 4 kids from ages 16 to an infant and I’m physically disabled and unable to work. I initially met with Galit and she was amazing. Well, Galit is amazing and my case was very complicated and difficult. We had a strategy and planned every step it took longer than I liked but accomplished all my goals. Not only I got full custody of my child I was granted to move out of state in spite of the great lawyers he hired and the wonderful image that the court had about my ex because the judge didn't like women and the way I dressed I guess. Galit and I stayed focused and stuck with our plan and defeated his best lawyers and paid very minimal alimony but really Like Galit called it go away money. Galit and her team went above and beyond she understood how a mom feels (as she is a mom) trying to protect her child when the court and judge Mizdol didn't care to hear. The opposing lawyers all they cared about is wasting time and money.
Galit yes is expensive but was worth every penny as she gave me and my son our life back, moved to my family and have full custody. I would recommend her in a heart beat and don't waste your time with anyone else.

While the stereotypical "cold, straightforward" lawyer-ese may seem tough to handle in the middle of an exceptionally emotional process like divorce, in the end it what was I needed to get things resolved quickly and effectively. My counsel kept me focused, on-point, and pounded through an acrimonious beginning into a rapid, fair settlement. My top complaint is the nickel-diming that I assume is prevalent with most lawyers, such as a 4% charge on the refund of the retainer balance? Really, after tens of thousands of dollars, I need to get dinged for a small-change item like this? I guess at the conclusion, you're so glad to have it over with, they know you just don't care about a few hundred more lost dollars at that point. Bottom line is that they got things done for me with as little stress as possible.

Moskowitz Law Group was extremely understanding, patient, and respective. Every person I spoke with at their office was professional with a high attention to detail giving me the confidence that everything was on track and that I was not just another customer.

The only in depth letter this law firm wrote on legal letterhead was a bullying letter to ME asking for my retainer to be refilled or they would drop the case. This was after they claimed to spend the original $5000 reading emails and reviewing the case and one 3-4 hour settlement panel appearance.

We used this firm and came away with the feeling that they were trying to string our case along in order to bill for services. Their billing practices are really unprofessional. Example. A Judge tells us we do not have to appear the following trial date. The day before the next trial date, the Attorney calls to give us a time to meet and we explain that the Judge said we did not need to be there. The Attorney calls the courts to confirm what we already new and then prepares a letter enclosing the Judge's statement from the court reporter that we did not need to be there. Phone call $100. Letter preparation fee $150, Only one example. Charging an hour and a half to review an email seems ridiculous to me. I wish I could point to more for examples but, many of the monthly invoiced items were just rolled up in to a bunch of items. You know when someone is taking advantage of the situation. And, of course, you can't complain about billing practices while you're in the middle of a case. I've had just a few occasions over my lifetime where I needed to use an Attorney. This was by far the only time I really felt taken advantage of.
