Seth is an amazing lawyer! My ex husband was trying to stop my relocation with my daughter after I remarried. He attempted to sue me for full custody. I was nervous and scared. Seth answered every email and phone call no matter what time of day. He reassured me that I had nothing to worry about and he was right. Wow where can I begin - don't bother using this law office! My fiancé paid for services in 2017 for an uncontested divorce and we are still waiting for the papers to go before the judge. We have contacted Esq Seth D. Schraier various times trying to get updates or instructions on how to speed up the process but either no response is obtained or we get information in pieces.

In our last email conversation because he never has time return a phone call or talk in person - he said "There is nothing to be done or that can be done at this point unless I hear back from the court that something has to be corrected."

Almost 3 years later he has no inclination to go to the court or reach out to clerical and ask the status of a "uncontested divorce" that normally takes between 6 weeks to 18months the most in the state of New York.

We gave him a chance, even though at the time he was working out of his messing small NY apartment because we understood that quality work doesn't always have to come from a 13th floor building but clearly we made a mistake. We put our faith in him as he assured us that this would be a easy transaction if the other party agreed and didn't want to settle or go after any assets.

Yet today is August 15 and we are still waiting because that is all he can do since he got paid in full and has better things to do.

He has been my attorney from the start, so here is my short story.

Mr. Schraier was the 3rd attorney we had to hire in our down-modification petition of a child support order case which lasted almost 3 years. It can be frustrating to prove your case when you need to lower your responsibilities in NYC even if your income been drastically reduced. We had to change 2 lawyers because of unsatisfactory performance. We found out about Mr. Schraier over the Internet along with other potential candidates and we interviewed all of them over the phone from another, distant state before we made a decision whom to hire. Mr. Schraier seemed to be very much down to earth, but sharp and attentive. His fees were surprisingly reasonable. He did not charge us for the minutes an communicated with us as it was needed. He's working with an economical overhead therefore he is able to give a competitive flat-rate. Mr. Schraier put an objection to the magistrate's order which was granted by a judge and still the magistrate wanted to postpone a decision for unknown period of time. Mr. Schraier was able to convince the custodial parent to settle and successfully negotiate a favorable stipulation in a short period of time, saving thousands of dollars for us.
Therefore we highly recommend Mr. Schraier.

I did contact Seth through Yelp actually, looking for an attorney in my divorce, and living in Sugar Hill, his location was really convenient. But most of all his explanation about the divorce procedure permit me to find a solution to avoid any fight with my ex-wife and he did file for me at a very reasonable cost. I am really thankful to Seth for his work, especially because, since the separation, I'm living back in my original country and it would be have been extremely difficult for me to manage all that without his help and support. Seth is the best. I had a complicated case. When I contacted Seth, unlike other Attorneys Seth was more concern about coming up with solutions for my case instead of the money. His 2 hour consultation is real. He is also great in communicating with his client. Every time I called, he always return my calls. I hired Seth Schraier to represent me in family court for what was naturally a sensitive issue. Being that my problem got to the point of having to be in court, all I wanted was the best outcome I could possibly get. My expectations were not only met with Mr. Schraier, but surpassed.

He followed up constantly, and did not treat my smaller case as if it was not a big deal to me since it was for an order of protection. This man has put my mother through hell and back. After receiving payment and all the documents for my parents divorce he has been hiding from my mother and ignoring her calls. Its been 5+ months and he has yet to take the papers to court and ignores when she tries to get them back from him to do it herself.
